<lj:music>Korpiklaani - Pellonpekko</lj:music>

This post may be one of the last ones I submit. I've been having one of the time of my life this summer and have already met the half way point. Yes I graduated and all that shit, still going into the United States Air Force on August 28th. Not much has changed as one would imagine. I do a lot of nothing and kill a lot of time rather quickly.

The only thing rather interesting if I've begun to appreciate my surroundings more. And I mean that in the sense of I don't necessarily hate Hayward, I think Sonoma County is a beautiful place. Tomorrow I am driving down to Long Beach and then the following day going to Ozzfest. Ozzfest should be fun, it will be my first real concert.

Not everything worked exactly how I thought. I saw myself still driving a 1974 Chevrolet Nova throughout High School and possibly even beyond. I didn't see myself as one to sign up for the military. I honestly didn't see myself getting good grades. Honestly though, I think the things that didn't work out as planned worked out for the better.

Very much I've enjoyed the company of my real friends. Revin is always great to hang out with, as well as Ben 3.0 and his whole lot of friends. I even enjoy the time I spend with my family. I guess there is some things I could have done different but more than anything else I'm really content with the way I've spent my days in California and abroad, in fact, I've come to a point where I might even miss it.

Something about remembering doing something when I was 8 and doing it again at 18 is really odd but really nice. Like riding through rural Sonoma county in the middle of the night, spending time with family in Guernville/Monte Rio. Its strange to have something new and old at the same time.

I could sit here and blab about a lot of things; how I wish I wrote down memories and took pictures. That was pretty much the point of my creating an account but as the time went on I've found that I don't care, the things that are real important, I'll hopefully remember. I've also found I get no kicks from reading old entries. There's probably a lot more I could or should write but I have to get ready to go to Sunol.

More than anything else this entry is a salute to the end of my High School years and consequently childhood years as well.

Submit by,

-Michael
